I have tried the Beauty Blender sponge and honestly, there is absolutely no difference in the finish you achieve with both. I am shocked at myself for not trying both sooner – it gives the most amazing and au natural finish EVER. I strongly recommend this for daily use.
The only thing that sets it off from the Beauty Blender is the quality of the sponge itself. Not saying it isn’t worthy at all but I have noticed that it tends to soak up a tad more product than the Beauty Blender probably because it’s much softer, more porous and expands very much. This, consequently, sheers out my foundation just a little bit so what I am actually trying to say is that you require more product if you’re using this. Also, since it has a flat edge, I feel like it’s prone to tearing so I have to be very careful while cleaning. Oh by the way, cleaning it is easy as pie. I like to wash it with a mild shampoo and it’s good to go.
Perhaps the best way to use it is making sure the sponge is damp. I make tiny dots of liquid foundation on my face and spread it a little with my fingers. After that I dab the sponge repeatedly till the product is perfectly blended into the skin. The flat edge is wonderful for applying concealer and the rounded side for foundation. Overall, it’s incredible but I prefer using my Beauty Blender nevertheless. It’s definitely a good value for money.
You might like it if…
- It gives an immaculate and natural-looking finish
- It’s easy to use and clean
- You think it’s especially wonderful for concealer application
- It’s prone to tearing
- It soaks up your foundation
