My thoughts
The bottle says it’s a ‘flirty floral’ scent so I assumed it would be something light. It’s not. The first thing you notice is how deep and warm it is. It’s not overwhelming though.

The sumptuous mélange of floral and musk is one of my favorites. It's playful and feminine and yet the musk brings out this sex appeal and confidence that you never thought you had. I must warn though, some of you might find this power combo a bit masculine. I, however, love the blend for it is special and conforms with my character.

Soap & Glory generally does great packaging but this one is just bad. The plastic packaging appears juvenile in my opinion. The fragrance itself has a medium sillage but surprisingly good longevity for a body mist – lingers for at least five hours.

Over all, it’s a great scent. Love love love!

Essence Like A Girls Night Out EDT – Review

I am not an admirer of sweet scents. It gives me a head ache and so I steer clear of them as much as I can. Like A Girls Night Out is undoubtedly sweet without being overwhelming or too sweet.

My thoughts
Like A Girls Night Out comes in an adorable clear glass bottle with a distinctive ribbon wrapped on the top. Essence has done a fine job with the packaging; it’s definitely going to appeal more to the younger crowd. Also, the affordable price tag makes it a total steal.

The scent unlocks with a fresh citrusy note and translates into a fruity-floral mishmash. The musk and vanilla notes become obvious at the base. Overall, it’s a fun, fruity and girly fragrance with a moderate sillage. I was genuinely surprised by the longevity of the scent. It lasts for a good five hours on me which isn’t bad in my book. Thankfully, it’s not incredibly sweet and did not give me a head ache. It’s clean and doesn’t draw a lot of attention which is why I think it's perfect for daily use.

If you’re a fan of sweet scents then this is definitely your thing. Personally, it’s not my cup of tea. Having said that, I still like wearing it occasionally.

My thoughts
I’ve got a confession to make. For some odd reason, I’ve almost never put a deo spray under my arms; always enjoyed spraying liberally on my chest and décolletage. Roll-on is the only thing I wear under my arms. I just cannot imagine stepping outside my house without it. I tried Olor’s deodorant – yes under my arms this time – and I've gotta say it’s brilliant. It keeps me smelling fresh all day long. I am in love!

I’ve got two of them to describe. First up is Lovely Lavender (Rose & Amber) – a rich and warm mélange of rose, musk and amber. It’s a heady scent and lasts on my skin for many hours. You can’t just wear another scent with this, It’s that overpowering. Charming Coral (Tangerine & Musk) is a sexy blend of musk and fresh citrus. I love this one a lot. It's so warm and fuzzy.

I am truly pleased with these and I think the affordable price tag makes it all the more amazing. Olor deodorants come in 6 different variants. I think I am gonna grab another Charming Coral for myself.

My thoughts
To describe Amber Romance in three words, I would say it’s warm, seductive and mysterious. It’s the kind of scent that smells fuzzy and soothing with a whiff of sweetness. Good thing it’s not sickeningly sweet but the overall mélange might be overwhelming for someone who doesn’t appreciate heavy scents. On the contrary, it’s very wearable for everyday use though I’d like it better during the winter months for it screams warmth and coziness.

The scent opens with a tangy cherry note which is delicate and refreshing then again it evolves into deep, powdery, vanillic scent with traces of sandalwood, sugar and amber all over. The overall concoction is hypnotic, sultry and very womanly.

Amber Romance comes in a 250 ml bottle which will last me quite a while I suppose. The scent wears for about four to five hours on me after which it begins to wither slowly. Overall, I love this!

You might like it if…

• You have a liking for sultry, woody scents
• You don’t fancy overpoweringly sweet scents
• The scent last for four-five hours. It has a decent wear time

You might not like it if…

• You find the scent a bit too overwhelming for your taste
• You expect the scent to last very long

My thoughts
Sweet pea is fresh, delicate and sweet. Though it is described as a fruity floral scent, I believe it’s fruitier than floral. In my opinion, it makes a nice summer-time scent.

The head notes are very crisp and clean with sweat pea being quite dominant. The scent becomes fruity and sweet at the heart. The bottom notes smell creamy and musky giving the scent just a bit of heaviness. If I were to roughly explain the scent, I’d say it kind of reminds me of Herbal Essences shampoos. I am very sensitive to sweet scents so when I first put this on, I really thought it was sickening (gave me a headache) but the next time I used it, I started liking it. So if you’re someone who’s sensitive to sweet scents, you probably might not like it at first but it grows on you with time. The lasting power of this one is around good four hours.

To be honest, I am not a fan of Sweet Pea though I wouldn’t say I don’t like it at all. I think it's just a matter of personal preference. It’s an OK scent for me, perhaps because I fancy scents that are sensual and mysterious; this just doesn’t do it for me. But I still like wearing it to work because it’s not over-powering. Anyone who likes sweet scents with faint floral notes should give it a shot; it’s an award winner after all.

• You are fond of the fruity floral combination of the scent
• The scent lasts for four hours; the bottle is easy to travel with

• You want something strong and intoxicating
