My thoughts
I’ve got thin and short lashes so I am always on the lookout for mascaras that would add length and volume to my skimpy lashes. I LOVE mascaras and I’ve got a couple of them stashed for different occasions. I like how a good mascara can transform the whole look of my eye and makes it look bigger and prominent. However, it is really heart-breaking when a product doesn’t deliver on its claims.

The lash curler mascara literally does NOTHING for my lashes. It claims to add volume but nope! It won’t even define them the way I like. The formula is thin so it doesn’t get clumpy during application and applies pretty neat – it’s a plus but seriously who would want to buy a product just for that?! I had high hopes but sadly this one is a disappointment. The brand has got some wonderful mascaras so if you really want to try one, you should check out Multi Action Mascara by Essence instead.

My thoughts
Even though I am digging the fancy concept, I am not blown away by its performance to be honest. In my opinion, the formula is nothing special because it gives me very similar results that I get with my regular mascaras that are devoid of any collagen spheres.

The conical wand features varying bristle length which tapers at the tip to target the shortest lashes. It definitely helps coats the hard-to reach and bottom lashes without any fuss. However, I don’t see any use for the 360° rotation because the wand hardly ever bends during application. Speaking of the formula, it leans just a bit on the wet side but not so much so that it's troubling. It does give noticeable volume in a single coat and lift my lashes however, I would strictly advise against doing multiple coats. Layering too much would only give you clumped-up spider lashes. There isn’t much lengthening but I can’t really complain about that since it only claims to volumize. It feels light and holds the curl well through the day.

Overall, I think it’s an okay-ish mascara. Not bad but doesn't entirely deliver what it claims, Manga eyes that is!

My thoughts
The Curl Addict Mascara comes with a double-helix style wand which in theory should not miss a single lash and coat evenly. And it does that pretty well honestly. The wand also does a good job lengthening and curling lashes, provided that you curl your lashes with an eye lash curler in advance. The result you get is natural-looking defined lashes; quite appropriate for daily use.

The formula is perfect – not too wet or dry. Once applied, it sets quickly (another reason for me to pick this up during the morning rush). I've got skinny and straight lashes so for me it gives the perfect amount of definition. My only gripe with the formula is that it’s waterproof. Personally, I am not dotty about waterproof formulas for they’re incredibly painful to take off plus there’s a good chance of losing a few lashes in the process. Additionally, if you’re not careful with application, you might end up clumping your lashes together. So far, I haven’t noticed any smudging or flaking with it – looks good all day. Overall, it’s a good deal.

My thoughts
If you remember, I have mentioned it in my favorites of 2013. At first, I didn’t like it that much. The formula was a bit wet and I just did not enjoy using it. However with time, the formula got better and slightly thicker and from there on, I love using it every single day.

If you look at the wand, you’d notice that while you twist the white handle from position 1 to 2, the brush squeezes and gets shorter. So when it is set on position 1, the brush looks longer and the bristles appear to be separated. On position 2, the bristles become close together which collects more product hence giving you that thickening effect. I am not a fan of the second position since it clumps my lashes together but I’ve got to admit, it does add drama to my lashes. Personally, I like the first position. It defines and lengthens my lashes very well.

Also, it doesn’t smudge or flake throughout the day which is a plus. Overall, it’s not the best drugstore mascara out there but definitely not a bad one either. It does the job for me – I am happy!

My thoughts
To start off, the formula is a bit gooey and wet for my liking. It’s black which is good and it doesn’t smudge or flake during the day. It indeed lengthens my eye lashes as it claims to but the fact that it sticks my lashes together is incredibly annoying. I like the lengthening effect but despite several attempts, it failed to keep my lashes separated – such a bummer!

I have noticed that it does not thicken my lashes; it only defines them. This is certainly not a bad thing because sometimes I want my lashes to appear naturally defined – good for day time. It says its waterproof which kind of surprised me. Waterproof formulas make lashes stiff and are hard to remove. This doesn’t stiffen the lashes and washes off easily on the other hand.

Overall, I am disappointed. I just wish it didn’t clump my lashes together.

First off, there are so many Scandal Eyes mascaras on the market, it’s hard to pick one. Luckily, I have had the chance to try almost all of them and of all, I like this one better though it has its downsides too.

My thoughts
The new Scandal Eyes Lycra Flex Mascara comes in a chunky green tube. I guess it's the US version that comes in a black tube. Again, the wand it comes with is quite big which could be a turn-off for those with small eyes or hooded lids. But the good thing is that the formula is alright; not too gooey or runny though it takes a minute or two to set completely. This is definitely not the kind of formula that allows you to do multiple coats and if you do that, you will end up with bunched up lashes probably because the bristles don't coat each lash individually during application. Since the wand is huge, it tends to accumulate too much of product so make sure to get rid of the excess; just pull out the wand whilst twisting it on the way out so that it goes on neatly.

The results? Well, the lengthening effect is good but what I love best about is how well it thickens my lashes in a single coat. As pointed out earlier, the product takes a bit longer to dry so applying a second coat can be achieved with ease. However, if you apply too much, it could clump your lashes together so application could be tricky! I definitely agree that it doesn't make my lashes feel stiff or brittle so I find it pretty comfortable to wear on daily basis. It holds up the curl, doesn’t smudge/flake and stays put all day. I’ve got it in Black which is indeed very pigmented so no complaints.

Overall, it's a good mascara if you expect it to make your lashes fuller without the brittle feel. You'd enjoy this mascara if you apply it right.

My thoughts
My lashes are naturally thin and sparse and I’ve got to say this one does a brilliant job for the price I paid. The packaging is very ordinary and comes with a standard straight wand. The formula is very black and the consistency is all right; not too thick or thin. I noticed that it sets within seconds when I apply. For me, it lengthens my lashes decently, nothing over-the-top however it thickens nicely in a single coat. What’s more, it holds the curl well through the day.

Does it smudge or flake during the day? Well, no it doesn't! It stays put all day long even in this harsh weather of Karachi. My advice would be to be careful during application. The wand attracts a lot of product on the tip so make sure to take off the excess and start by applying to the base of your lashes working all the way up while wiggling the wand at the same time. One coat should be enough for those who’ve got nice lashes already. For someone who’s got lashes like I do should apply two coats for best results. It could get clumpy on a second coat though.
