Menopause is a normal part of the aging process for all women, in fact for a few cases, menopause symptoms can occur at a young age. Medically, the word menopause refers to the date of the last menstrual period. Symptoms of menopause occurring before and after menopause is actually called the climacteric. Many of the symptoms that can be seen in menopause, among others, can be insomnia (difficulty sleeping), hot flashes, constipation, sweating, depression, memory loss, difficulty resisting the urge to urinate (urinary incontinence) and so on. Due to the nature of the symptoms vary depending on each person's, so it's good if you record your menstrual dates as well as the symptoms of "unusual" that may occur, once you reach or exceed the age of 40 years.



What is menopause?
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advanced age women. Menopause phases
Menopause has two phases, namely Perimenopause and Postmenopausal. 
  1. Perimenopause: At this stage you will begin to experience the signs and symptoms of menopause even though you still menstruate. Your hormones will rise and fall unevenly, and you may experience symptoms of menopause. 
  2. Postmenopausal: When 12 months have passed since your last menstrual period, you have experienced menopause. The ovaries produce less estrogen and no progesterone.


Recognize Menopause Symptoms

Menopause is not an event that occurs suddenly, but rather a process that lasts a long time, there are certain people can even last for 10 years. So the signs and symptoms of menopause can actually be felt by most women since the 40s. The process of menstruation actually stops occur in a woman when entering the age range between 48 years to 52 years.

Approximately 75% of women experience symptoms that are very disruptive during the phase of menopause, although the severity is different for every individual. Symptom severity
